DSNSG Melbourne North covers families living in the Macleod, Watsonia, South Morang, Greensborough, Epping and surrounding areas.  We also provide assistance to families living the Burwood and Ringwood areas.

The major Defence establishment in the Melbourne North area is the Simpson Army Barracks located in the suburb of Watsonia.  In addition, Maygar Barracks is located in Broadmeadows.

Families with special needs posting into this area need to be aware that where they are housed may affect the type of services and support they require as the housing stock covers many different council and disability regions.  For specific special needs information in relation to where you are considering being housed, please contact the National Coordinator on 1800 037 674.

Our group currently doesn't have a local Coordinator but families get together on a regular basis for coffee mornings and attend family and other events that are organised, as well as participating in the various workshops held.
